Edward was born in 1901. He became a vampire in 1918. He was turned into a vampire to prevent him from dying fromSpanish influenza. Edward Cullen was adopted by Dr. Carlisle Cullen as a 17-year-old. Edward is super-fast, charming and a talented musician. Edward has a special ability to read people's minds.. with one exception, Bella's. Despite almost 90 years of abstinence from human blood, when meeting Bella he was barely able to resist the urge to feed on her. Over a period of time he got over the urge, he quickly fell in love with Bella.
